FIRE ASSAY THERMAL PENCILS / FIRE ASSAY CRAYONS

Fire assayThermal pencils resistant to litharge and still visible after the cupellation process or the fire assay process. They are ideal to mark the cupels or crucibles. 

We have two models available

– Fire assay thermal pencil up to 1200ºC, colour blue. The outer shell is made of wood, and the inner mine is blue cobalt.

– Fire Assay  Crayons for ceramic marking up to 1200ºC, colour black. There is no outer shell, the whole body of the crayon is mine.

LONG TONGS FOR HANDLING FIRE ASSAY CRUCIBLES AND CUPELS

Cupel tongs (CT-3) are adequate for moving bigger range of cupels used in ore analysis.

Crucible Tongs (CrT) handle fire assay crucibles. Open ring (210º) is adequate for horizontal movements in and out of the furnace. Rod holds crucible while pouring into moulds.
